It was great to join Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport yesterday to highlight the modernization happening right here in Michigan.

The Working Families Tax Cuts not only put more money back in the pockets of hardworking Americans, this legislation also made significant investments in air travel safety.

I appreciate the Secretary touring the control tower to thank the air traffic controllers for their hard work and to see first-hand how further investments will help unlock the full potential of GRR!

America, not China must set the rules of the road on AI. Senator Fetterman is right and Senator Sanders is incredibly wrong. The House Foreign Affairs Committee has been at the forefront of developing common sense legislation to help ensure the United States wins this race and prioritizes American interests over those of the Chinese Communist Party.

A key part of this is my legislation, called the Chip Security Act, which is designed to stop China from acquiring the advanced processing chips required to enhance their civilian and military AI capabilities.

I am glad to see Nigerian Forces successfully rescue more than 300 hostages. Despite this positive news, I can only imagine the horrors these women and children faced while being held against their will. More must be done by the Nigerian Government to protect Christians in Nigeria. Radical islamists must continue to be held accountable for violence against both Christians and Muslims!

Purple Heart Day serves as a powerful reminder of the courage and sacrifice made by those who have served our nation.

We honor the service members who were wounded as well as the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in combat defending our nation. May the Lord watch over these courageous heroes and their loving families.

Natalie and I are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Zeeland City Manager Tim Klunder.

For 25 years, Tim helped steer Zeeland into a place that welcomed families and opportunity while maintaining the small town feeling.

Earlier this month, I was honored to enshrine Tim’s work, passion, and legacy in the Congressional Record.

Blessings and Peace to Tim’s family and may the Lord watch over them and the entire Zeeland Community during this time of loss.
