PVT. Cleo M. Martin was a Tennessean who died July 4th 1944, after surviving D-Day but was killed in the fighting that followed. His sister visited his grave on July 4th 1952, and left this letter detailing her experience visiting his grave.

I had the privilege of attending a wreath ceremony where almost 9,400 Americans are buried there in Normandy. We heard his and many other stories of incredible bravery and sacrifice.

Yesterday, the House Armed Services Committee marked up the FY27 National Defense Authorization Act.

As chairman of the Strategic Forces Subcommittee, I was tasked with ensuring the Golden Dome, space defense capabilities, nuclear modernization initiatives, and missile defense programs have everything they need to defend the American people.

From day one of Secretary Rollins assuming her post, she has worked to root out waste, fraud and abuse in the SNAP program. Today, she came before the committee with answers to questions I repeatedly asked the Biden Administration for years.

I was sounding the alarm that the SNAP benefits program was being abused by illegal migrants to the Biden Administration and was continually told that it simply “wasn’t possible.” I asked multiple times for the data on who is receiving SNAP benefits and was met with no answer.

Secretary Rollins said in her testimony today that 30% of those that have been kicked off SNAP for abusing the program since she assumed her role were illegal aliens.

I thanked her for the great work she’s doing to ensure that our hardworking American citizens who need help are being put at the front of the line.

Happy Birthday, Tennessee! 230 years of the being the greatest state in our Nation. We are lucky to call the Volunteer State home!

This day marks Tennessee's 230th birthday, as it dates back to 1796, when Tennessee officially joined the United States as the sixteenth state.

Peace through strength requires our nuclear arsenal to have all of the capabilities necessary to respond quickly and efficiently to threats from our adversaries. I’m proud to co-sponsor the bipartisan Nuclear Forensics Authority Realignment Act to ensure the safety and security of every American.

“In 2010, Congress codified the NTNF program under DHS to ensure the government could respond to a nuclear event without warning. Realigning NTNF under NNSA will lead to greater efficiency, as NTNF will have direct access to NNSA’s research and development efforts and nuclear materials. The realignment will also eliminate duplication of efforts between NNSA and DHS.”

Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Bill Foster (D-IL) introduced the bipartisan Nuclear Forensics Authority Realignment Act, alongside Congressman Joe Morelle (D-NY) and Congressman Scott DesJarlais (R-TN). This legislation would realign the National Technical Nuclear Forensics (NTNF) program fro...

The Elizabeth Dole Foundation works to support caregivers of our country’s military members and veterans. I was glad to meet with some of their members today to learn how we can better advocate for those who care for our Nation’s heroes. 🇺🇸
