Science should be guided by data and evidence—not politics.

That's why I'm urging the administration to withdraw a proposed rule that would put ideology ahead of scientific rigor. Federal research grant distribution should be impartial and fact-based.

King, along with 10 Democratic senators, sent a letter to the director of the Office of Management and Budget, Russell Vought, warning that the rule would undermine scientific research, weaken American competitiveness, and increase bureaucracy.
