Senator James Lankford

Senator James Lankford United States Senator for the State of Oklahoma.

The 31st of May and the 1st of June mark a time of solemn remembrance in our state and nation. One hundred and five years ago, the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre left a community in ruins and a nation with a wound that still demands honest reckoning. The residents of Greenwood did not allow that event to define them, and their resilience continues to inspire. North Tulsa, our state, and our nation lost much during those fateful days, but the work of turning tragedy into triumph continues. I remain grateful to the community leaders, churches, and families who press forward every day to restore North Tulsa as a beacon of culture, opportunity, and prosperity. True reconciliation requires that we never stop remembering, never stop listening, and never stop working toward a brighter future together.

Recovery efforts continue in Enid following the April 23 tornado. Personal belongings are still being found more than 100 miles from where they were lost. If you believe you’ve found an item that may belong to someone affected by the storm, please take it to the Enid Public Library. Low-interest disaster loans remain available at lending.sba.gov.

Justin, McKenzie, and the great people at Central Metal Finishing in Holdenville help produce aerospace parts that reach outer space, keep commercial flights in the air, and support the defense of our nation. Their work in Hughes County matters, and they take great pride in what they do.

President Donald J. Trump continues to champion the Abraham Accords, one of the single greatest achievements of his first term. With the region consumed by war, expansion of the Abraham Accords has the best chance of creating long-term peace. The Accords have already proven that peace is possible. As Co-Founder and Co-Chair of the Abraham Accords Caucus, I welcome any Middle Eastern nation to join and strengthen this growing coalition.
