in Laden, decimated the ranks of Al-Qaeda, restored our status as a respected world leader, conducted a successful human rights intervention in Libya sparing thousands of innocent civilians, ended "Don't Ask Don't Tell," passed historic health care reform expanding healthcare to millions who could not previously afford it, expanded the Children's Health Insurance Program, appointed to Pro-Choice women to the Supreme Court, created the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and stood by America's middle class to extend a payroll tax cut that puts $1500 a year in the hands of millions of working and middle class citizens. On the other side of the aisle we face a GOP that has been hijacked by the extreme right wing of the party. Nearly all have either signed or support a personhood amendment that would make abortion and even contraceptives illegal. Nearly all have signed or support Grover Norquist's vow to never raise taxes, even at a time when America needs to handle its spending crisis and its wealthiest citizens have a tax burden at an all time low in the modern era. They believe Occupy Wall Street are envious do-nothings who should "get a job." They believe corporations are people. Governor Perry would send our troops back into Iraq. They are already gearing up for a war with Iran. They would undo EPA regulations that keep our water clean, and continue the war against organized labor. President Obama and the Democrats need you in 2012! If you believe:
A restrained and measured approach to the use of military force. Equality of opportunity and the importance of social mobility. A woman's right to govern her own body. Green energy and sustainable living. That all people deserve access to adequate health care. A workers right to organize. That an honest day's work should be sufficient to feed a person's family. That money does not equal speech. That corporation's are not people. That a person's wealth should not be most strongly determined by the family they were born into. That g**s le****ns bisexuals and transgender Americans deserve all the rights and freedoms of every American. That teachers are not the enemy, but hard working foundations of our society. That science should be the ONLY thing taught in Science class at our Public Schools. THEN THIS IS A TIME FOR ACTION! The choice has rarely been so clear. We can turn the clock back to the Gilded Age where Robber Barons ruled the nation, or we can boldly march into the future, making progress step by step in the rich progressive tradition of America!
