I am so proud to see the National Museum of the American Latino finally come to fruition. I led efforts in the House, and now the Senate, to give Latino Americans the proper recognition and home they deserve on the National Mall. I want to thank all of the advocates and Smithsonian for bringing this dream into reality.

The Smithsonian will locate the museum in its Arts and Industries Building, rather than build on a site owned by the National Park Service.

ICE's plan to spend millions of your taxpayer dollars on electric shock gloves raises serious concerns about safety, accountability, and the potential for abuse.

We lost a legend and a friend to so many. Dolly Parton was a music icon whose songs and storytelling will live on for generations. Her generosity also put books in the hands of millions of children, including here in New Mexico, and opened doors for many.
