This is a big moment for the Hudson Valley. I’ve been working hard with colleagues on both sides of the aisle all year to make sure this bill invests in what our community needs: more housing and better roads, bridges, and rails. I’m incredibly proud we got it done.

From major investments in rail and bridge safety, commercial and residential housing development, and a historic step in expansion of West of Hudson one-seat ride to the City, the BUILD America 250 Act goes to show what happens when you put politics aside and focus on delivering for the people.

I will continue to fight for these kinds of improvements our community desperately needs. This is how we build the more affordable, safe, and free Hudson Valley all our families deserve.

On Memorial Day, we remember our country’s bravest.

We must intentionally reflect on what it means to be a true Patriot, and living out a calling greater than ourselves.

We owe our fallen heroes a debt that we can never repay - today and every day, we thank and honor them.

Four years ago, 19 fourth graders and 2 teachers in Uvalde were ripped from their families in a horrific act of gun violence.

Today we honor their memories & vow to continue fighting for an end to gun violence.

The weapons I carried in combat have no place in our classrooms.

Incredibly meaningful night at the Ulster County Veterans Service Agency’s Memorial Day Candlelight Vigil last night, honoring the brave men and women we’ve lost in service to our country.

I hear it from folks every day – costs, especially housing costs – are still way too high.

My ‘Housing Affordability Agenda’ was part of the first legislation I introduced this Congress to bring down costs and cut through red tape, and I’m proud to see those priorities advance.

This legislation will lower the crushing housing costs across our community, make it easier to build, and crack down on the private equity firms buying up homes. I’ll keep fighting like hell to bring down costs for your family and for mine.
