Last night, Stephanie and I met with representatives from Blueprint 15 at ITC High School to talk about plans for the Children Rising Center facility, which is committed to serving Syracuse families by providing accessible learning, recreation, and health services.

My office worked with Syracuse city officials to secure $3 million in federal funding for this important project.

On National First Responders Day, take a moment to remember and thank the brave men and women who tirelessly work to keep our communities safe.

The police, firefighters, EMTs, and emergency personnel who are just a call away have earned our deepest gratitude and full support.

This morning, I attended the St. Joseph’s Hospital Fall Legislative Roundtable with local and state officials, as well as representatives of the healthcare providers who continue to tirelessly serve our community.

Afterward, I met individually with St. Joe’s leadership, and we discussed their ongoing negotiation with Excellus.

In the interest of the patients and families who will be impacted by the outcome of these negotiations, I will continue to call for more transparency and productive dialogue between involved parties. My office will hold a Roundtable next week to discuss this and other issues affecting healthcare in the 22nd district.

As open enrollment begins, my top priority is ensuring that patients can continue to count on the quality care they’ve received from our region’s hospitals.

It was great to celebrate yesterday’s ribbon-cutting at the Hematology/Oncology Associates of Central New York with so many local leaders and community members.

HOACNY has provided quality care for over 40 years, and I wish them the best in their new Comprehensive Cancer Center in Camillus!

It was great to spend this morning in the company of the manufacturers who have been a backbone of our community at MACNY’s annual Legislative Breakfast.

Local manufacturing is the past, present, and future of our district, and I’m proud to stand in support of those creating opportunity here in CNY.

Stephanie and I had a wonderful time with everyone who braved the rain to see the annual wreath-laying at the Christopher Columbus Statue. The Italian-Americans who have made this country their home contribute uniquely to our culture, and this yearly tradition honors them, past and present. Happy Columbus Day!

Yesterday, I had the honor of speaking during the Taiwanese Flag Raising Ceremony in Syracuse, on the anniversary of Taiwanese-American Friendship Day.

We gathered to celebrate the decades-long relationship between Syracuse and Taiwan. It was great to meet with Ambassador Lee and members of the local Taiwanese-American community!
