As a fourth-generation farmer and owner of a soil lab, I know just how important the ground underneath our feet is to feeding and fueling the world. I joined Congressman Jim Costa this week for our Congressional Soil Caucus’ briefing on the role soil plays in agriculture and our health.

Thank you to Dr. Aaron Daigh, Dr. Cristine Morgan, and Dr. Newell Kitchen for sharing your expertise and engaging in this meaningful discussion.

While Democrats want to pack the Supreme Court to advance their radical political agenda, I voted to preserve the integrity of our nation’s highest court and uphold a judicial standard that dates back more than 150 years. The Supreme Court should not be used for political gamesmanship.

🚨 205 DEMOCRATS JUST VOTED TO PACK AND EXPAND THE SUPREME COURT

The Democrats want to stage a takeover of an institution built to stay above politics by stacking the bench with judges who answer to their radical base instead of the Constitution. It's un-American and against the very principles this country was built on.

Veterans sacrifice so much in defense of our freedoms and deserve access to the benefits they’ve earned, regardless of their educational track or career goals. Four-year degrees aren’t the only option, and oftentimes those pursuing other programs experience reduced allowances.

That’s why I’m proud to join Rep. Timothy Kennedy in introducing the Reducing Arbitrary Barriers to Apprenticeship Act of 2026, ensuring veterans pursuing apprenticeships and on-the-job training programs have the GI Bill benefits they deserve.

From fraud to tariffs to the future of farming and rural communities, I appreciated taking your questions regarding the issues impacting you, your families, and our communities this week.

Rural communities in southern Minnesota are facing challenges with aging water infrastructure, and I’ve been working hard in Congress to secure funding for projects that will help improve these facilities across . During yesterday’s House Committee on Small Business Subcommittee on Rural Development, Energy, and Supply Chains hearing, I heard from Texas State Representative Cody Harris about his work to expand water supply and infrastructure to support rural communities in Texas, and what Minnesota and other states across the country can learn from their successes. ⬇️

My thoughts and prayers are with the Minneapolis police officers and every victim of this horrific attack. Thank you to our brave first responders and law enforcement on scene.

A law enforcement source says multiple civilians are dead after at least six people, including two police officers, were shot in downtown Minneapolis on Wednesday afternoon amid an active shooter situation.

🚨ICYMI: In July, Minnesota faced more than 30 cyberattacks on critical water systems, and at least 11 other states have reported possible threats to their water systems, as well. That’s why I’m proud to join Congressman Chris Deluzio in introducing the Water Authority Cybersecurity Protection Act to ensure our local water authorities have the proper capabilities to respond to these threats.

No local water system should be a lone cyberwarrior on the frontline against nation-state cyberattacks— we saw the Iranians hack Aliquippa's Water Authority in 2023. I've got a bipartisan bill with Congressman Brad Finstad to help local water systems shore up their cyberdefenses. This is a national responsibility—the federal government should help us guard against these foreign hackers.

Thank you to the more than 4,200 of you across who joined last night for a great discussion! This was the 7th Tele-Town Hall I’ve hosted this Congress, and these events give folks from all over the First District, regardless of where they live or how they prefer to engage, the chance to participate.

Today, the EPA committed to reallocating 100% of exempted biofuel gallons in 2026 and 2027, protecting record high volumes. Thank you, President Donald J. Trump, for listening to farm country and continuing to invest in our homegrown biofuel industries.
