Rick Doblin has dropped a bombshell. Yes, the US military seems to be doing their own M**A trials. This is likely a good thing, but fact they don't want other soldiers to know is irrational. The truth will make us all free and the Pentagon knows this isn't a readiness issue or classified tech. Let's get the procedures and results made public! Read!

Rick Doblin, executive director of the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies, discussed rumors of Pentagon studies with M**A.

As of today, Initiative 81 is DC law and natural psychedelics are effectively decriminalized in the District of Columbia! Thank you to everyone who worked on and supported this important reform!

Initiative 81, the Entheogenic Plant and Fungus Policy Act of 2020, helps ensure that residents benefiting from natural psychedelics known as entheogens will not face investigation, arrest or incarceration. Although current congressional restrictions bar DC from fully decriminalizing or legalizing natural psychedelics, Initiative 81 adds significant protections for those using entheogenic plants and fungi including psilocybin mushrooms, ayahuasca, iboga, and mescaline-containing cacti. These entheogenic plants and fungi can help those suffering from depression, anxiety, and addiction.

3 more days!

With 72 HOURS until i81 becomes LAW in DC, we want to talk about how psychedelics reduce crime and improve behavior. There is a wealth of research that demonstrates how psychedelics tend to reduce (1) arrests, (2) alcohol and drug misuse, and (3) intimate partner violence (IPV). Don't take our word for it:

(1) "Lifetime classic psychedelic use was associated with a reduced odds of past year larceny/theft, past year assault, past year arrest for a property crime, and past year arrest for a violent crime. In contrast, lifetime illicit use of other drugs was, by and large, associated with an increased odds of these outcomes."

(2) "Our results suggest that hallucinogens may promote alcohol and other drug abstinence and prosocial behavior in a population with high rates of recidivism."
https://doi.org/10.1177/0269881113513851

(3) "[H]allucinogen use predicted reduced arrest for Intimate Partner Violence (IPV)...These results add to a growing literature suggesting distinct therapeutic potential for hallucinogens to assist in the attenuation of problematic behavior."

Just ten days until Initiative 81 becomes law in DC!

For each of the TEN DAYS until plant medicine decriminalization takes root in our nation's capital, we want to say a little more about the promise of plant medicine! Today's theme is the epidemic within the pandemic: opioid dependence and overdose.

With regard to treatments, naloxone and suboxone are the only tools in the medical toolbox, and neither drug can solve longterm dependence. Fortunately, plant medicines like ibogaine have been repeatedly demonstrated to be effective treatments for destructive habits like chronic opioid dependence, and you don't have to take our word for it:

"Ibogaine was associated with substantive effects on opioid withdrawal symptoms and drug use in subjects for whom other treatments had been unsuccessful, and may provide a useful prototype for discovery and development of innovative pharmacotherapy of addiction." (NYU and UCSD Schools of Medicine, The American Journal of Drug and Alcohol Abuse; 2017.)

"Ibogaine is effective in blocking op**te withdrawal, providing an alternative approach for op**te-dependent patients who have failed other conventional treatments." (Alkaloids, Chemistry and Biology; 2001.)

"A single ibogaine treatment reduced opioid withdrawal symptoms and achieved opioid cessation or sustained reduced use in dependent individuals as measured over 12 months." (The American Journal of Drug and Alcohol Abuse; 2017.)
