[SW Florida] Rodent

We have seen a ton of these hopping through our yard this Summer, we are surrounded by empty (forested) lots where I assume they have their homes, but we never saw them last Summer at all. My wife thinks it’s a Norway Rat but I’m not so sure. Is it something to be concerned about with how many I’ve seen vs last year? They love getting into our garbage!

Is this a male or female?

Trying to figure out if this lizard is a boy or a girl. I know these pictures aren’t ideal for such a determination, but I don’t want to handle the lizard to get better photos.

Today there was another Texas spiny lizard in this lizard’s hangout spot, and he/she was NOT happy about it. They were in a hunched position and doing lots of pushups. This allowed me to get a decent picture of its underbelly. Seems there are no blue scales. Does this mean it’s a girl?

Neighbor has concerns

My neighbor has concerns about wood splitting.. I told him he’s got bigger fish to fry. What do you all think? How long does this thing have before it tumbles like jenga?

Forgot to mention one of the worst parts, the concrete pad was for the entire underneath of the deck.

Ethernet cable under carpet, I think im either over thinking this or under thinking this. We have an ethernet cable running upstairs. New carpet goes in next week.

My plan is that we run this inside the gripper rods in a gap between the underlay. Theres one doorway to cross but I can run this through a gap in the wooden threshold so that it cannot be stood on. is any of this problematic?

(Walls are all solid. We have a mesh network set up but it is not reliable enough for work).

Plaster coming down. What to do from here?

The plaster is coming down from this wall. The wall feels almost like cement. Is this normal plaster? Where do I go from here to repair?

My painter self wants to just pull it off, prime, build up with hot mud, finish and prime and paint but maybe I'd be better off to try my hand with proper plastering.
