On this 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, we remember the 2,977 innocent people who lost their lives, along with the 343 firefighters, 71 police officers, and 8 EMS providers who died so that others may live. That morning, every single one of them left home thinking it was just another Tuesday. Evil had other plans.

We stand tall with our brothers and sisters from our police, fire and EMS partners to carry on the legacy of those brave responders who made the ultimate sacrifice.

From the big city to small town USA, evil knows no boundaries. We’ll be here when you need us.

Excellent coordination this morning by two of our association members and many of our surrounding public safety partners for a safe resolution to this incident. Kudos to the WBPD officer’s keen attention to detail on this call!

On September 5th at approximately 8:22 a.m., a West Brookfield police officer received a report of a suspicious, unoccupied motor vehicle parked in a driveway on Long Hill Road.

The officer responded and observed a male party inside the residence.

Mutual aid was requested from the Warren Police Department, Hardwick/New Braintree Police Department, North Brookfield Police Department, Brookfield Police Department, and Massachusetts State Police and Massachusetts State Police K9.

A perimeter was established around the residence, and de-escalation tactics were used. Two parties were taken into custody.

This incident remains under investigation by the West Brookfield Police Department. There is no threat to the community at this time.
