I made a post on my private account out frustration about the dynamic on the board regarding last night’s meeting. It was in poor taste and demonstrated lack of judgement. I understand that Facebook is not the forum to express my frustration. Instead, I should have reached out to each individually to discuss with the Board members how we can work together. I apologize for making this personal.

Congratulations! Central Bucks School District social worker Raquel Riad applied for a grant on behalf of the CB Farmers Market and Warrington Cares selected them as their 2021 recipient of $1,500 for amazing work and contributions on behalf of Warrington Township residents and the surrounding communities! The grant was awarded at a recent supervisors meeting. Tamanend Principal Dr. Brian Caughie (second from left) was on hand to accept the generous contribution.

Warrington Cares is a 501(c)3 tax exempt non-profit composed of Warrington Township municipal employees from all departments including police, fire, public works, parks and recreation and township office staff.

Dear Central Bucks families,

We trust this letter finds all of you well and enjoying the first two weeks of summer break. Currently, the district is finalizing its plan for a full five-day return to in-person instruction for the 2021-2022 school year. Additional information regarding the plan can be found in this infographichttps://www.cbsd.org/cms/lib/PA01916442/Centricity/Domain/4242/2021-2022%20Planning.pdf

Due to the availability of a COVID-19 vaccine for anyone 12 years of age or older, there will be no online option for secondary students (grades 7-12); however, we are seeking your input regarding an online option for K-6 students via the following interest survey https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=j0gLqp78hUGl4zhCIN8jyiXdmOE5We5AmmVceuM_-vRUNlU5QVFaWVk5UTA5SEpKOUdVVFlNVEFZSyQlQCN0PWcu

Based on the results of this interest survey, the district will determine the feasibility of an online-only option at the elementary level, provided a minimum of 22 students indicate interest in the online learning academy at a particular grade level.

In the event the district moves forward with an elementary online academy, it will function as a separate elementary school, as follows:

*The CB Online Academy will operate from 8:50 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
*Elementary parents who choose this option must commit to the online-only program until the end of the second trimester, March 10, 2022. If a student decides to return to in-person instruction after March 10, 2022, every attempt will be made to place the student in their home school.
*Students will be taught by Central Bucks teachers utilizing Central Bucks curriculum.
*Teachers may not necessarily be from a student’s current elementary school.
*Classes will be formed by grade level and will include students from across all Central Bucks School District elementary schools.
*If your child requires special education instruction (not gifted instruction) outside of a general education classroom environment, these services will only be offered in person.

This survey will be open until 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30th. We thank you for your time and input, and wish you a healthy and relaxing summer.

Sincerely,

abram lucabaugh signature
