Washington county has issued a burn ban as well. Please refrain from any and all out side burning as we have high fire danger and dry conditions with little to no rainfall in the forecast

Washington County Commissioners have issued a BURN BAN effective immediately. Please see the attached resolution for exemptions and requirements.

As of today 3-25-26 Nowata County is officially under a 14 day burn ban. But if we get enough rain within that time it can always be taken off. Here is a photo of the resolution and the rules.

Near critical to critical fire weather danger continues today and Thursday. Fire weather conditions will expand eastward across a larger part of Oklahoma as high winds combine with low humidity across most of the state. A Red Flag Warning is in effect again today.

Please continue to postpone any burning or activities that could spark a wildfire.

City of Wann should be clear it has moved Southeast of town towards Nowata and southeast of nowata. Just remember to be aware of water and tree debris on roadways.

Wann Fire got the pleasure to participate in Shop with a Cop in Coffeyville with the Boys and Girls Club. We had our Assistant Chief Timmie Benson, and two firefighters Shelly Benson and Shawn Benson there to help kids shop!
