🌀 Hurricane Season Begins Today: Are You Ready, Colleton County?
June 1st marks the official start of Atlantic Hurricane Season. Living in the beautiful Lowcountry of South Carolina means we must always be prepared for tropical weather.
The Colleton County Sheriff's Office urges all citizens to start preparing now. Don't wait for a storm to threaten our coast; instead, take action today to protect your home and family.
📋 Your Preparation Checklist:
Restock Your Emergency Kit: Ensure you have at least a 3- to 5-day supply of bottled water, non-perishable food, flashlights, batteries, first-aid supplies, and essential medications.
Review Your Plan: Know your evacuation zone, plan your route, and check in with family members so everyone knows the plan.
Secure Important Documents: Keep digital or waterproof copies of IDs, insurance policies, and medical records easily accessible.
