More than ever, we need to consider how to preserve the small-town character of our community at the same time that we grow our economy and enhance our quality of life. As Mayor pro-tem for the city of Lafayette CO, I contributed significant vision and leadership that led to social progress and prosperity. I would like to extend that vision to our community. As a leader and community member, I hav
e promoted an environment of cooperation, reaching out and building bridges among the private sector, government and non-profit organizations that serve our valley. I bring together a diverse set of voices who can contribute their ideas, insights and solutions to community issues, such as economic development, public health, youth programing and environmental stewardship, while keeping focused on the diversity, outdoor recreation, art and culture at the heart of our city's social fabric. I currently serve Walla Walla as the chair of the affordable housing implementation task force and member of the board of the Community Council and the Health Center. I am a husband, father and committed member of the community. Education is at the heart of my success and my commitment to serve. I believe that education is the single most important factor that can build resilience and lead to our community success. I received an undergraduate degree in Communications from the University of Maryland and a graduate degree in Information Systems from the University of Denver. As a global strategic partner manager for Intel Corporation, I currently manage the development of new technologies for smart cities, smart transportation, smart agriculture and many other technical innovations. I listen and collaborate to resolve the challenges that we face as a community, making decisions based on the merit of the ideas, rather than ideology or political biases. My agenda is to serve the people of Walla Walla, creating and implementing pragmatic solutions that address what people care about. Let’s work together and build the city where we ALL belong and thrive!
