Maryland residents and counties are standing up to the inhumane and illegal practices of ICE!

Immigrant and legal advocacy groups sued the Trump administration Thursday for violating the Fourth Amendment and other laws with what they called the government's "arrest first, ask questions later" policy of immigrant arrests.

Sunday, Sept 20th @ 11am-3pm at Wisp Resort
Enjoy a soup luncheon benefiting Garrett County nutrition programs. Soup will be served in a unique bowl made by a community member (including bowls GCNAACP members painted last month), along with bread and dessert.

Take the bowl home as a reminder that there are those in our community with empty bowls, and we can all help fill them.

Tickets ($35 adults/$25 children) benefit local food charities.

Community Tickets are available for those who would like to attend but are unable to pay the ticket cost at this time.

Beautiful bowls made and lots of fun last night at Deep Creek Pottery. Be sure to come for great food on Sunday, 9/20/26, 11am-3pm at Wisp Resort, in collaboration with Community Works and Community Action to support local food insecurity.
