We had a fun afternoon at Wales Tales Story Time! 📚🎶

There was plenty of singing, movement, and silliness, followed by a creative face-making activity with yarn, pipe cleaners, pom-poms, and lots of imagination. We love seeing what our littlest artists come up with!

And this week’s new craft is ready, too! 🌙✨ Stop by to make a dream catcher at the library or take the supplies home and create one there.

🍂📚 September at the Wales Public Library!

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, and if you don’t have a library card yet, this is a wonderful time to stop in and get one. Your library card connects you to books, movies, digital resources, our Library of Things, programs, and so much more—and we’re always happy to help you find what you need.

We’re especially looking forward to starting our new monthly Graphic Novel Book Club for tweens & teens this month! We’ll also have Back to School Bingo, Portraits with a Purpose, and our Halloween Costume Exchange later in September. 🎃

A couple of quick calendar notes: Adult Book Club will meet one week later than usual because of the Labor Day holiday, and there will be no Kids Creative Club this month.

September always feels like a bit of a fresh start. Come check out what’s happening this month and see you at the library!

We’re looking for volunteers!

The Wales Public Library is always grateful for community members who are willing to share their time, talents, and ideas with us. Right now, we’re especially looking for a volunteer—or a few volunteers—who would be interested in helping facilitate an after-school art program for kids once a month.

You don’t need to be a professional artist! We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with children, likes being creative, and would have fun helping plan and lead simple art projects.

We also welcome volunteers who may be interested in helping with other library programs, projects, or activities.

Such a wonderful morning at Wiggles & Wonder! 💛

There was lots of singing, movement, play, and plenty of smiles from our littlest library friends. We love seeing everyone come together each week and watching the kids become more comfortable, curious, and connected.

Thank you to everyone who joined us today—we had such a great time!

Bring your little ones, ages 0–3, for a fun morning of music, movement, stories, and play. It’s a great way to get out of the house, meet other families, and let the littlest library visitors wiggle, explore, and have some fun! 💛
