Summer Volunteer Interns Wanted!

Looking for volunteer work experience or something fun to do over the summer? Apply for a summer volunteer internship at one of our Tulare County Library Branches.

Application open to applicants ages 14-18. Interns completing their internship receive a stipend of up to $350!

We are excited to announce that one of our most enjoyable and meaningful events is coming up on Saturday, March 7th! You’re all cordially invited to Visalia Vintage & Antiques Sip ‘n Shop, a no-cost event to attend supporting Visalia’s non-profit, The Avenue of Flags. From 4-7 p.m., patrons can enjoy complimentary beer pours from our local partner Kaweah Brewing Company. The craft brewery from Tulare will be offering two popular choices: the first, “Ranch Hand,” its newest Lager, known for a crisp, clean, and refreshing taste, and secondly, a must-have Kaweah staple, “Holy Toledo”, available for IPA lovers. We will also be offering complimentary Wine pours and finger food appetizers. Please keep in mind that you must be 21 years old to be served alcoholic beverages, and any donations received will be given directly to the participating non-profit. The Avenue of Flags is a long-standing Memorial Day tradition in Visalia, where thousands of American flags are displayed at the Visalia Public Cemetery to honor fallen veterans. We hope to see you all on Saturday, March 7th, for this one special evening.

Join us at the District on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 3–5 PM, for a meaningful book signing featuring World War II Veteran Vernon N. Schmidt. Vernon will be signing A Hero and Advocate for All Others, his biography that shares his powerful story of service and lived history. Author Laura Bailey will be in attendance to sign books and answer questions following a short presentation. Book signing will be available while supplies last, with all proceeds benefiting Central Valley Honor Flight. We hope you’ll join us for this special program.

We had our annual Christmas party tonight and were honored to have Parenting Network-Visalia Family Resource Center join the festivities. There were raffle prizes, an excellent dinner, great music played by a great DJ and a good time was had by all!

This holiday season, we’re proud to support Central Valley Veterans in their Holiday Donation Drive — collecting food items to help ensure every veteran and their family can share a warm holiday meal.

Requested items include, but are not limited to, instant mashed potatoes, gravy packets, stuffing mix, canned fruits and vegetables, dry beans, and rice.
