UPDATED INFORMATION - The Virginia Beach Democratic Committee is holding its Local Candidate Endorsement Caucus from 12-3 pm on Saturday, June 20, at two locations in Virginia Beach... Williams Farms Recreation Center, 5252 Learning Circle, and Bow Creek Recreation Center, 3427 Club House Road.

This is for City Council and School Board candidates, city districts 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, and 10. But only contested races will be decided at the caucus. By "contested," they mean more than one candidate requesting an endorsement from the Virginia Beach Democratic Committee. Currently, there are only contested races in districts 4 and 10, but candidates have until tomorrow, Wednesday, June 17, to notify the committee of their endorsement request.

The caucus is NOT just for members of the VB Democratic Committee. Any registered voter living in a district with a contested race may participate in the caucus. If that's you, you are strongly encouraged to participate. The committee needs your help selecting the candidates it will endorse for the General Election on Nov. 3.
