The Hatfield & McCoy 5K and Half Marathon are in the books! (Yes, that is Devil Anse Hatfield and Randall McCoy at the finish line!)

The kids all set new personal bests and had outstanding races. Rose and Jake tackled the half marathon (13.1 miles), while Josy, Micah, and I ran the 5K (3.1 miles).

Proud dad moment: 97 runners completed the half marathon, and Jake finished 3rd overall among the men while Rose finished 3rd overall among the women. They crossed the finish line together in 2:00:38, averaging an impressive 9:13 per mile.

Josy once again left me in the dust during the final stretch, finishing in 33:07. Both she and I shaved about six minutes off our previous 5K times. Micah also ran a personal best, finishing in 37:50. To top it off, both Micah and Josy won their respective age groups.

To say I am proud would be an understatement.

It was truly a great weekend of running and an even better weekend spending time with our family in West Virginia.

KidFest at Dr. Samuel L. Bossard Memorial Library this past Saturday was a truly enjoyable event! Over 1,000 people came out to enjoy a day filled with food, games, entertainment, education, and reading.

The Gallia County Prosecutor’s Office was proud to partner with Meigs Gallia Casa and Gallia County Children Services to help kids create slime—something the kids loved (the parents… maybe not so much).

It was wonderful to see so many families spending time together and enjoying such a beautiful day in our community. Thank you to everyone who made this event a success and thank you to the great team at Gallia-Vinton Educational Service Center for spearheading the event.

Our crew had a blast at the Gallipolis In Lights 5K last night! Close to 500 runners, joggers, and walkers finished the course. From the lights, to the live music, to the wild outfits, to Santa - it was a lot of fun!

Rose finished with a PR of just over 25 minutes, while Josy and I finished with our PR of just under 40 minutes.

I want to take a moment to extend my deepest gratitude to the individuals who cast their vote for me in this election, as well as for the overwhelming support I have received since announcing my candidacy.

I also want to sincerely thank everyone who played a part in my campaign for your support, encouragement, and dedication. None of which has been taken for granted.

Serving as your Prosecuting Attorney over the past 10 years has been both humbling and an incredible honor. I am excited for the future and for the opportunity to begin a new chapter as your Juvenile/Probate Judge in February 2027.

Until then, I remain grateful for the opportunity to continue serving you as your prosecutor.
