📝 Uintah County Commission Meeting Recap – October 6, 2026

Here’s a quick look at what happened in this week’s Commission Meeting:

📋 Regular Business
The meeting began with the approval of minutes and warrants. Minutes can be found: https://www.uintah.gov/calendar.php
📃Tax Matters
There were three tax matters that were approved by the Commission.

📃The Commission ratification the Commercial Property Assessment Services Agreement with Utah Association of Counties

✈️The Commission voted for the approval for Airport Terminal Funding

📃Resolution #09-29-2026 R2- update to the definition of Educational Facility definition in the administration manual was approved

⚖️The Commission recessed for the Board of Equalization

⚖️The Commission approved the denials of appeals which did not have the required evidence.

⚖️The 2026 Indigent Abatements were discussed and approved.

The Commission adjourned and reconvened the Commission Meeting.

The Commission then went into closed session.

✅The Commission reconvened the commission meeting and the Settlement Agreement on Oviatt Trust v. Christi Jenkins and Uintah County. A settlement of $15,000 was approved that would release the claims and prevent any further litigation regarding this matter.

There were no public comments and the meeting was adjourned.

Help keep County operations running efficiently by coordinating purchases, working with vendors, managing contracts and bids, and ensuring compliance with purchasing requirements.

✅ Requirements: Two years of experience in purchasing, procurement, contract administration, or finance, plus a related associate’s degree. Equivalent education, training, and experience considered. Bachelor’s degree, government procurement experience, and professional certification preferred.

💵 Full-time | $30/hour, depending on experience
