Love Knows No Boundaries: ACC and the Youth Million Dream Project Bring Hope to the Bambitje Community
Love is more than delivering supplies—it is letting every person in need know: “You are not alone.”
Recently, the Eswatini Amitofo Care Centre (ACC), together with the passionate volunteers of the Youth Million Dream Project, carried out a full-day community outreach in the Bambitje area. Visiting several Neighborhood Care Points (NCPs) and vulnerable families, the team brought not only essential supplies, but also hope, compassion, and encouragement to every corner of the community.
📍 First Stop | Mahhashini NCP
The children welcomed the team with radiant smiles, joyful songs, and energetic Swazi traditional dances.
Together, ACC and the Youth Million Dream Project donated:
🌽 100 kg of mealie meal🫘 50 kg of sugar beans🫒 6 liters of cooking oil🍪 5 boxes of cookies🍋 30 kg of fresh lemons
Seeing the children’s bright smiles and the Gogo (grandmother) who cares for the center moved us to tears as she repeatedly expressed her gratitude, reminding us once again that a single act of kindness has the power to warm an entire community.
The team then paid a courtesy visit to the Chief’s Royal Residence, where the Chief expressed his heartfelt appreciation for ACC’s many years of unwavering commitment to supporting neighboring communities and caring for vulnerable families. He also offered his blessings to everyone dedicated to serving others.
📍 Second Stop | Visiting the Ngobe Family
The team visited two children under ACC’s long-term care, Tfwala Anathi and Magongo Sinakekelo, bringing them much-needed food supplies and daily necessities.
One of the most emotional moments of the day was meeting the children’s elderly grandmother. Despite struggling with serious mental health challenges and a painful knee injury that severely limits her mobility, she continues to shoulder the responsibility of caring for her family with remarkable strength and resilience.
On this day, we brought more than food and supplies—we wanted her to know that even in her most difficult moments, she has not been forgotten.
📍 Third Stop | Nkulu NCP
The road leading to the community had become completely impassable due to severe damage. Yet the team refused to turn back.
Instead, they unloaded and handed over the donated supplies directly by the roadside, ensuring the community still received the assistance they needed.
During the visit, a mother approached the team carrying her ten-year-old child, who had been paralyzed and unable to walk for the past four months.
Watching her carry her growing child every day in search of medical treatment was both heartbreaking and deeply inspiring.
Touched by her determination, the Youth Million Dream Project immediately donated E1,000 to help cover emergency transportation costs, enabling the mother and child to travel for medical attention, where ACC had already arranged a referral for specialized medical care.
Sometimes, a timely act of kindness can change the future of an entire family.
📍 Final Stop | Danditha NCP
Although Danditha still has no permanent building for its care center, the community warmly welcomed the team with a lovingly prepared traditional Swazi lunch.
Despite having so little, they generously shared the best they had. Their sincerity and hospitality deeply touched everyone present.
In addition to donating food supplies, ACC and the Youth Million Dream Project also contributed to support the future construction of a permanent shelter for Danditha NCP, hoping to provide local children with a safer and more secure environment in which to grow and learn.
Throughout the journey, there were rough roads, heartbreaking stories, and unforgettable smiles.
We believe that the true power of humanitarian service lies not only in meeting immediate needs, but also in standing beside people during their most difficult times and helping hope continue to grow.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to every supporter of ACC and to the incredible young volunteers of the Youth Million Dream Project. Because of your generosity and dedication, we can extend love even farther and bring hope to more children and families.
Love does not stop where the road becomes difficult. Hope continues to grow through every act of kindness. ❤️
