This page is authorized by VALLEY CITY – CITIZENS FOR OPEN GOVERNMENT
OUR MISSION: Instill positive change within the Liverpool Township and Buckeye community as a whole. Our primary focus is to shed daylight on the activities of our local government bodies such as Liverpool Township Board of Trustees, Zoning Inspector, Board of Zoning Appeals, and Zoning Commission. Also, we have found it to be
incredibly difficult to get straight and accurate answers from these officials. Unfortunately, these undesirable traits are costing us taxpayers thousands in legal fees. Example: The propane tank...
Example: Sunshine Law violations... i.e. telling citizens to leave an open meeting or otherwise obstructing access or notice to said meetings
Local elections can be as impactful as presidential elections. Every citizen has the right to have a voice and be involved. All we strive for is our local leaders FOLLOW THE RULES, AS WRITTEN. Sounds simple, but sometimes it seems so hard for governments to do so. We are a non-partisan Political Action Committee* and are not affiliated with any other group or campaign. Presently, we do not support or oppose any candidate for Liverpool Township Trustee. If we choose to endorse or oppose any candidates, this will only happen after a fair and objective process for taking such a position.
*A political action committee means a combination of two or more persons, the primary or major purpose of which is to support or oppose any candidate, political party, or issue, or to influence the result of any election through express advocacy, and that is not a political party, a campaign committee, a political contributing entity, or a legislative campaign fund. (R.C. 3517.01 (C)(8))
(Organizing as a PAC is required by law given our mission, goals, and the proximity of a general election)
