Today was a proud moment for the NCNW Valdosta-Lowndes Metro Section.

At the NCNW - The State of Georgia Bethune-Height Recognition Program (BHRP), 21 of our Section members were celebrated for their commitment to the mission and legacy of NCNW, including 19 Life Members and 2 Legacy Life Members.

We are honored to celebrate this meaningful milestone and the continued dedication of these members, whose leadership, service, and support help strengthen our Section and advance the work of NCNW in our community.

Congratulations to all 21 honorees whose names are proudly featured above. Your commitment helps ensure that the legacies of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune and Dr. Dorothy I. Height continue to inspire and impact generations to come.

Today, we honor the workers whose dedication, skill, and service help build stronger families and thriving communities.

From healthcare professionals and educators to entrepreneurs, skilled workers, public servants, and caregivers, every contribution matters. We especially recognize the women whose paid and unpaid labor sustains our homes, strengthens our economy, and creates opportunities for future generations.

As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. reminded us, “All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance.”

May we continue working toward safe workplaces, equitable opportunities, and economic empowerment for all.
