What an amazing experience at today’s Legacy & Launch Tour!

Thank you to the Southern Georgia Black Chambers the Valdosta State University Copeland African American Museum and Valdosta State University College of Business for the invitation and for creating such a meaningful event that connected the rich history of our community with the opportunities that lie ahead.

A special thank you to our own NCNW Valdosta-Lowndes Metro Section members who helped tell the story of Black excellence and leadership. Dr. Sheila Thomas shared the remarkable legacy of our founder, Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune, while Sister Estell Rose highlighted the life and impact of Dr. Dorothy I. Height. Our Section President, Attorney Karla Walker, also spoke and proudly recognized several of our NCNW members in attendance who are business owners, shining a light on the entrepreneurial talent within our section.

We truly enjoyed the opportunity to learn, connect, and celebrate the past, present, and future of Black leadership, business, and community impact in South Georgia.
