SCKids Stony Creek Kids' is the Children's Ministry of Stony Creek Church in Utica, MI. At SCKids, we are passionate about guiding children to follow Jesus every day.

We are dedicated to teaching His children the truth of Christ Jesus in an environment that is emotionally, physically, and spiritually safe. We believe that a child’s journey with Jesus should be vibrant, imaginative, and deeply rooted in their hearts. Our ministry is designed to inspire kids to love God and others through engaging, creative, and age-appropriate experiences that spark curiosity an

Hey SCKids families! ☀️

We’re kicking off a brand new Catechism calendar for May, and I want to encourage you—don’t just let this be another thing that gets posted and forgotten.

Take a few minutes each week to read the devotional together. Talk about it. Ask questions. Let your kids wrestle with it a little. This is where faith starts to stick—not just knowing what we believe, but why we believe it.

You’ll notice the last two weeks of the month are our memory weeks. That’s intentional. We want to give space for these truths to really sink in so kids can confidently share them on Sunday.
We’re not aiming for perfection—we’re building a strong foundation of faith, one conversation at a time.

You’ve got this. And we’re in it with you. 💛

📖 Faith Builder Catechism Reminder
Parents, here’s a quick reminder to take a few minutes this week to work with your kids on their catechism for this Sunday!

This week’s catechism is:
Why does God tell us, “Honor your father and mother”?
So we will love and obey our parents.

Take some time during your family devotion, at bedtime, or even in the car to practice it together. The goal isn’t just memorizing words—it’s helping our kids understand why God gives us the commands He does.

We’re excited to hear the kids recite it this Sunday!

Also, don’t forget—if your child recites both catechisms for the month, they’ll earn their Faith Builder t-shirt! 👕

Tonight is going to be a fun one! Kids should bring their Bible and Kidz Life book in ANYTHING but a backpack! A laundry basket, toolbox, wagon, cereal box, pillowcase—get creative! The silliest item carrier will earn extra points for the store.

And that’s not the only exciting thing happening tonight…
We’re kicking off a brand new Bible study using CEREAL! 🥣 Each week we’ll use different cereals to help us learn important truths from the Bible in a fun (and tasty) way. The kids are going to love it!

We can’t wait to see what crazy ways everyone comes up with to carry their books tonight. Get creative and we’ll see you at Kidz Life! 😄

Today is Good Friday ✝️

Join us tonight at Stony Creek Church as we remember the powerful story of Jesus’ love and sacrifice.

We have two services available for your family:
🕠 5:30 PM
🕖 7:00 PM

SCKids will be available for all ages.
• K–5th grade will participate in a special five-senses experience to help them understand the final moments of Jesus’ earthly ministry in a meaningful and kid-friendly way.
• Babies, toddlers, and preschoolers will have their own class with a Bible story and craft time.

Good Friday reminds us that because of the cross, hope is coming.

Just a quick reminder that there is no Connection Night tonight.

Instead, we invite you and your family to join us for our special Good Friday services this Friday, April 3rd. During SCKids, children will experience a meaningful five-senses journey through the final moments of Jesus’ earthly ministry, helping them better understand what led to the cross in a kid-friendly way.

Join us next week for our special SCKids Good Friday Service. Kids in K–5th grade will use their five senses to experience the final days of Jesus’ earthly ministry.

Through a kid-friendly sensory experience, children will taste, touch, smell, see, and hear what it may have been like for Jesus and His disciples during the Last Supper, their encounter with the soldiers, Pilate, and the events that led to the cross.

This powerful, hands-on experience will help kids better understand the meaning of Good Friday in a way designed just for them.

Allergy Notice: Matza and cranberry juice will be served, and kids will be introduced to several oils and spices.

This is something you won’t want your kids to miss.
