We are incredibly excited to welcome E&E Gliddon Home Services as EverForward’s newest community partner!💛
After learning that the boys in our older boys’ home had been without a properly functioning AC system, Anna Kendall and Ergys Hisa, the husband-and-wife owners of E&E Gliddon, stepped in immediately.
The very same evening they were connected with EverForward, a technician was on-site evaluating the system. Less than 48 hours later, E&E Gliddon installed a brand-new AC unit valued at approximately $14,000—completely donated.
And they didn’t stop there! Their team also brought co****le and other games for the children, showing us that they weren’t just thinking about the home—they were thinking about the kids who live there.
A huge thank you to our newest Board Member and Professional Advisory Committee member, Tamara Galla, for making the introduction, and to Anna, Ergys, and the entire E&E Gliddon team for showing what it truly means to show up for your community.
Our boys are cool, comfortable, and feeling the love. 💛 At EverForward, we talk often about raising the standard of care. Our goal is not simply to meet requirements or check boxes. We want the children entrusted to us to have opportunities, experiences, relationships, and environments that communicate something much bigger: You matter. Your comfort matters. Your childhood matters. Your future matters.

As another step forward on our path to reaching and supporting our kids in new and meaningful ways, we’re excited to add equine therapy to the services we offer. 🐴❤️

This is our Residential leadership team. This room represents so much hard work and dedication to the mission of serving. Of making a difference. And of persevering through the hard and challenging spots because our kids and staff deserve it. This team has been intentionally built over the past year and a half. Three of these women are new to EverForward, and the other five were already part of our organization and have been promoted to their current leadership roles.

This is an example of how a committed group of people can move mountains. Our group homes are now "more home, less facility ", with trauma-informed staff and leadership, who are dedicated to seeing our kids as individuals and meeting them where they are-- all to begin the healing path ahead of them. This is where change happens. Because healing doesn't happen by checking boxes. It happens through relationships, consistency, trust, safety, and people who refuse to give up.

The statistics on kids from foster care as adults are staggering:
50% graduate high school
4% attend college
3% get a degree
3x su***de rate
Up to 40% recidivism, being involved with their own kids in the child welfare system
1 in 3 pregnant by 19
45% unemployed by 23
1 in 4 incarcerated within few years of aging out

Despite all the well-intentioned people and systems, we are not doing enough to help kids heal from abuse, neglect, and trauma. I am so thankful for the platform we're creating to spread awareness and create change in how we show up for the kids who need and deserve it. ❤️‍🩹

We were honored to welcome City Councilman Corey Givens to EverForward for a tour of our group homes and the opportunity to share more about the work happening every day for children and families in our community.

Councilman Givens is a strong advocate for children, families, and the future of our community, and we’re grateful for his time, interest, and support.

At EverForward, we know that creating lasting change for young people takes all of us. The impact we can make grows stronger when community leaders, organizations, and advocates come together around a shared commitment to helping children thrive.

We had a wonderful time attending the Belonging in Business Breakfast hosted by the Tampa Bay LGBT Chamber of Commerce. The morning was filled with meaningful conversations, new connections, and a shared commitment to building stronger, more inclusive communities. We are grateful for opportunities like these to connect with fellow leaders and organizations who are making a positive impact throughout the Tampa Bay area. At EverForward, we believe that lasting change happens through collaboration, and we're excited to continue building relationships that help create brighter futures.

I got a call today from a GAL (Guardian ad Litem, CASA, court advocate) for a kiddo we had in our program a year ago. She and I got to know each other last year when we banded together to advocate for the needs and best interest of this child. Even with the large team he had, he was falling through the cracks. I had an idea and called her....and we came up with a plan. Then we executed it to get him into a placement and services that would meet his special needs.. A year later, the plan is still stable and successful for that child. 🥰💙 I have thought about him so much and wondered if he's happy and doing well. She has another child with us now and she was thrilled that she knew he was with an organization that truly cares about these kids, at every level. This made my day!!!! This is what happens when we work together and move mountains for these kids who need it most. 💙 🩷 -Tonya Ruble-Richter, President / CEO

For children who have experienced abuse, neglect, and trauma, moments like these aren't just happy memories—they're part of the healing process. Every child deserves the opportunity to feel safe enough to laugh, play, connect, and simply be a kid.

At EverForward, we're creating those moments every day because healing happens through trusted relationships, stability, and experiences that remind children they are valued.

Trauma changes the brain. Healing changes the future.
Trauma can shape the way a child thinks, learns, trusts, and responds to the world around them. Behaviors that may appear defiant, withdrawn, or difficult are often the result of a nervous system that has learned to survive.
Healing requires more than meeting basic needs.
It requires consistent relationships, patience, life skills, education, therapeutic support, and adults who choose connection over correction.
Healing is possible. Growth is possible. A brighter future is possible.
Every child deserves the opportunity to move forward.
