🇺🇸 Charleston 9/11 Heroes Run

Mount Pleasant Fire Department members joined together today to honor and remember.

Twenty-five years after September 11, 2001, we pause to remember the lives lost, the courage shown, and the lasting impact of a day that changed our nation.

The Charleston 9/11 Heroes Run on Daniel Island today, September 12, bringing our community together to honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost on 9/11, the first responders who answered the call, and the heroes who continue to serve our communities every day.

We remember. We honor. We never forget. 🇺🇸

🎃🐱 Just in time for Halloween! 🐱🎃

You may think firefighters only get called to rescue cats stuck in trees, but our crews get called to all sorts of unique situations throughout their shifts!

Recently, our crews were called to rescue Pumpkin, a cat who found himself stuck in a storm drain. Thankfully, our firefighters were able to safely get Pumpkin out and back to where he belonged. 🐾❤️

While most of the calls our crews respond to are much more serious in nature, we had to share this feel-good story with you!

Happy Halloween, Pumpkin! We’re glad you’re safe! 🎃🐈‍⬛🚒

The Mount Pleasant Fire Department has been awarded accredited status for the sixth consecutive time by unanimous vote, making us one of only a few departments in the country to achieve this milestone!
