❄️ Severe Weather Shelter Is Open — Here’s How You Can Help ❄️

The City of Renton has opened the Severe Weather Shelter from January 22nd - 24th. REACH Renton is partnering with the City to staff and operate the shelter, and we need community support to keep this space warm, welcoming, and well-resourced.

Shelter Hours: 8:00 PM–7:00 AM
Volunteer opportunities include evening set-up & check-in, overnight support, and morning breakfast & clean-up.

Other Ways to Help (No Shift Required!)

🥪 Make PB&J Sandwiches
You can make PB&J sandwiches — on your own or as a group — to support shelter meals.

🧤 Donate Cold Weather Gear
New or gently used items are needed, including:

- Warm socks
- Gloves
- Beanies
- Hand warmers
- Scarves

🍲 Provide a Hot Dinner
Individuals, families, faith groups, or organizations are welcome to drop off a hot dinner to support shelter guests.

New Year, Same Commitment!

This week at The Table, instead of canceling we pivoted. When the ovens were shut off for safety, we got creative because obstacles won’t stop us from showing up. People truly count on this meal and the take what you need pantry every week, and together, we made it happen.

We’re back at it again! Just 10 days until our Community Christmas Dinner on December 28!

Last time, we served more than 160 neighbors a hot, welcoming meal. Now we’re getting ready to do it again and we need your help to make it possible.

HERE IS HOW YOU CAN HELP 😀

🍴 Food Prep – Friday, Dec 26
Join us any time between 1pm - 7pm in the kitchen to chop, assemble, and cook dishes for the big day. No experience needed, just bring your energy and enthusiasm!

🤝 Day-of Volunteers – Sunday, Dec 28
We need help with set-up, serving, hospitality, and especially end-of-night clean-up to wrap up the evening smoothly.

Consider attending this winter fundraiser event that will help fund The Table, our free weekly community meal. We will have lots of cool raffle items like this one and you won't want to miss it!

Our winter fundraiser - Building a Bigger Table - is just over 1 week away! You could walk home with a private wine tasting for 6 from Drum Roll Wine!

Join us next Friday for a night that supports free meals in renton every Saturday! Our team will be creating an meal utilizing primarily rescued food - just like our Saturday meals - with an elevated twist!

Between dinner and drinks, a variety of local raffle items will be announced throughout the evening along with musical guests and special insights from the teams behind his cause. Please join us for a fun night that benefits this community!

From kids to seniors, these quality treats always bring smiles! Thanks to our partnership with Sustainable Renton and for the generosity of Macrina Bakery & Cafe. We’re grateful to share their delicious pastries with Renton community members at the Renton Library on Fridays and at Luther's Table on Saturdays.

We have 3,825 reasons to be thankful for ! That’s the total pounds of food they’ve generously donated to us since August. Their incredible support has provided premier quality pastries, breads, cookies, and other treats to over 3,000 people in under three months. Every donation helps us bring joy, comfort, and nourishment to our community, and we couldn’t do it without partners like Macrina. We are so grateful for their continued generosity and dedication to helping others.

The Medic One Foundation is offering affordable CPR training at Luther’s Table this month!

🗓 When: Saturday, September 27 | 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

This is a great chance to learn life-saving skills and help make our community safer.

We’re excited to partner with the Medic One Foundation to offer affordable, life-saving CPR Training at Luther’s Table this month. The training will take place on Saturday, September 27 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM and is open to the public. The cost is $30 per person Registration is required by September 20. This is a valuable opportunity to learn how to respond in a cardiac emergency and help build a safer, more prepared community.
