It’s with a sad and heavy heart that Connect For Community has made the decision to dissolve our organization this year.

15 years ago, Suzanne Stigers met with a group of ladies in Panera to discuss using coupons to buy items needed by our local food pantries. Since then, we’ve donated hundreds of thousands of pounds of food and hygiene products, made over 5,000 back-to-school backpacks, had amazing events throughout the years, and so much more.

The people we’ve met working with our pantry partners have touched us deeply and will be forever in our hearts. Our volunteers gave their time and hearts to helping others. Our donors were always there with an open wallet to allow us to continue our mission.

So we say goodbye and thank you for everything.

Valley Road School did another amazing job collecting 100 of every item for our 💯th Day of school!!

Karen Henry leads this effort and we are so thankful for her and everyone at Valley Road!!

The children were so excited and proud to see us and carried everything to our cars.

Wow! Durban Avenue School did an amazing job collecting for the 100th day! They also collected soup and other items. A great example of our youth making a difference ❤️

Once again, many thanks to Morris Hills H.O.P.E. for the thousands of donated items from their Soupin Bowl donation drive. The donated soups and other food products have been shared with the Rockaway Food Pantry.

Connect for community received a very generous donation today from the Rotary Club of Lake Hopatcong! This partnership has been going for years, and we appreciate their support.

While speaking to Ken from the Rotary, he mentioned a home for children they work with, and we donated a few cases of snacks to them! Always making a connection ❤️
