Cameron County Master Gardeners We are a non-profit educational and charitable organization working with AgriLIFE Extension to improve gardening skills throughout our community.

The Cameron County Master Gardener Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational and charitable entity that trains individuals in the science and art of gardening in partnership with the AgriLife Extension Service. Program objectives are primarily implemented through trained volunteers— valuable resources in the field— who educate adults and youth through demonstrations, speaking engagements,

the media, and community events. The Education Garden, our demonstration garden, located at the County Annex on the corner of Williams Road and Expressway 77 in San Benito, includes butterfly and vegetable gardens, composting demonstrations, rainwater harvesting, and trees that grow well in deep South Texas.

Looking for a fun and meaningful way to celebrate Mother’s Day? Bring your mom, daughter, son, or someone special and enjoy creating a beautiful terrarium together.

Join us for a hands-on Terrarium Workshop where each participant will design their own miniature garden to take home.

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful Master Gardener volunteers who helped make this year’s plant sale such a success. Your months of planning and the many weeks of preparation leading up to the event truly made a difference.

From growing and caring for plants, organizing, setting up, and helping customers throughout the day, your dedication and passion for gardening and community education are what make this program so special.
