Friendly reminder, don't forget to contact Miss Amy if you'd like to participate and volunteer at our annual Boo Bash next month (Oct. 17th). We need a lot of help to make a big event happen.

October will be here before you know it, and, each year, we need an army of helpers to help create our annual Halloween Boo Bash here at the Nortonville Library. We're looking for volunteers to monitor games, hand out candy on the treat trail, face paint, be an actor in our haunted library, and to help with crafts.

This is an easy and fun way to give back to the community, and also a fun way for teens and college-aged students to earn volunteer hours.

🍂🍁 It's almost that time of year again! 🍂🍁 That means it's time to announce our annual BOO BASH here at the Nortonville Library and Museum! 🎃

This free, community event will take place on Saturday, October 17th, 6 - 8 PM. It's our biggest outreach of the year and is meant to introduce new visitors to the facility and also to celebrate the library with our patrons. All are welcome so be sure to mark those calendars and join us for this night of festive fun!

Also, to any and all local businesses, churches, and school groups, please let us know as soon as you can if you'd like to be a part of our "Treat Trail" that evening. This trail will basically be stations set up around the exterior of the library where you can hand out treats to the kiddos. Just let us know if you'd like a free spot on the trail, and all you have to do is show up with lots of candy or treats you'd like to share. (Feel free to contact Miss Amy here on Facebook or at the library if you have any questions).

A local radio station shared this info on Nortonville today. We always love to see our history being shared ❤️

If you'd like to read more or see similar photos, I believe the info shared came from the 1989 Historical Society of Hopkins County yearbook's article on Nortonville (so many excellent articles in those yearbooks!) and other Hopkins County and Nortonville-related books in our museum 🙂
