🍂 It may not officially be fall yet, but here in Michigan we know what’s coming! 😂
This is actually one of my favorite times of year to get a few things done around the house- before the cold weather hits and before life gets busy with the holidays.
A few things worth putting on your list:
🏡 Clean gutters & make sure downspouts are draining properly
🔥 Have the furnace checked & change the filter
🚿 Disconnect outdoor hoses & prepare exterior faucets
🪟 Check windows and doors for drafts
🌳 Trim branches that could cause problems with snow or ice
💨 Test smoke & carbon monoxide detectors
🧹 Clean out the dryer vent
🌿 Start thinking about fall yard cleanup & sprinkler winterization
None of these are very exciting 😂, but taking care of the little things now can help prevent much bigger—and more expensive—problems later.
