Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center Providing safety, healing, and justice for abused children since 1989 The Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center / CARE House opened its doors in 1989.

In 1985, the Baldwin County Department of Human Resources, Sheriff's Department and District Attorney's Office formed a Multidisciplinary Team in order to limit the lengthy and traumatic investigative process that often results in cases of childhood sexual abuse. It soon became evident that a central location was needed - one that would convey protection, comfort, dignity and care. The Baldwin Cou

nty CAC continues to provide a child-friendly environment for child victims of sexual abuse and severe physical abuse.

Very special May community event highlight — Ballin’ on Belrose supporting the Baller Dream Foundation hosted by the City of Daphne, 68 Ventures, and the Cox Family Foundation 💙

We are so proud of our CAC staff, Kaylea Strain (MDT Coordinator) and Micki Korn (Pediatric Nurse Practitioner), their families, and multidisciplinary team members, Detective Justin Williams and Captain Reginald Ardis with the Daphne Police Department, who participated in this awesome event a couple of weeks ago! They took on this super fun challenge on behalf of our kids served at the CAC and the pediatric cancer patients served by the Baller Dream Foundation. This group works hard every day with our MDT to protect children in crisis, and we’re grateful to have them representing us on and off the course!!

Thank you to the all of the runners, sponsors, volunteers, nonprofits, and community members involved in this annual May challenge. And a very special thanks goes to the Daphne Police Department, the City of Daphne, 68 Ventures and the Cox Family Foundation for standing with the children we serve year after year.

We’re incredibly grateful for a community that continues to show up for kids in so many different meaningful ways!!

June is almost here, and with it comes National PTSD Awareness Month.

At the Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center, we walk beside children whose trauma isn’t always visible but is deeply felt. PTSD can shape how a child sees the world — but with safety, compassion, and consistent support, healing becomes possible.

Our mission has always been to protect children, restore hope, and help families rebuild after abuse and trauma. As we prepare to honor this important month, we stand with every child who has shown courage in the face of fear and pain.

Thank you to everyone in our community who supports our work.
No child should walk their healing journey alone, and we remain committed to walking with them every step of the way.

Our agency extends a heartfelt thank you to the Coastal Alabama Leadership League (CALL), a dedicated group of local leaders selected by the Coastal Alabama Business Chamberfor a year of service, learning, and giving back. Over several days of hard work, the team completed a much needed safety fence that will protect our children and families for years to come.

This project was made possible thanks to the generosity of many supporters, including the CALL group, Thomas Toombs, Ashley Andrews, all CALL members, and community partners such as David Swift / Swift Building Supply, Home Depot, Brian Cooper / Quikrete, and others who contributed materials, time, and support.

Their dedication reflects the very best of our community. THANK YOU ALL!
