Partnership for a Fit Kentucky

Partnership for a Fit Kentucky The Partnership for a Fit Kentucky (PFK) is a team of leaders, professionals and community advocates

We are a dynamic public/private partnership which supports Kentucky's obesity prevention programs. We focus our efforts on improving access to healthy foods and physical activity, preventing obesity in early care and education (ECE) settings and schools, and improving overall wellness in worksites. Because obesity is everyone’s issue, none of our work could be possible if it weren’t for our collaborative partners.

Shorter days do not have to mean fewer opportunities to walk and bike. They simply remind us to adjust with the season.
Choose familiar routes, think about timing, check bike lights and reflectors, and stay alert near crossings, driveways, parking lots, and intersections.
A safer fall starts with the habits we build now.

Make them a part of every meal because good health is good for everyone.

One of the easiest ways to improve safety while walking or biking is to stay predictable.
Use crossings when available, follow traffic laws, signal your intentions, and make eye contact when possible.

Kentucky's trails, greenways, and scenic routes attract visitors from across the region.
When people come to walk, bike, hike, and explore, they support local restaurants, shops, lodging, and attractions.
Active transportation and tourism often go hand in hand, creating healthier communities and stronger local economies.
