Hon. Onu Ukpai Covers Hospital Bills for Accident Victims

Ohaozara West, – October 4, 2024 –

In a demonstration of his unwavering commitment to the well-being of his constituents, Hon. Onu Ukpai, the representative of Ohaozara West in Ebonyi State House of Assembly, has fully covered the hospital bills of all the children affected in the tragic accident that occurred on October 1st.

The accident, which involved school children being transported for the Independence Day celebration, sadly resulted in the loss of two young lives.

Hon. Ukpai has extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved families and has been actively involved in supporting the injured students and their families during this difficult time.

As part of his ongoing efforts to address the needs of his constituents, Hon. Ukpai has visited the injured children in the hospital and has personally ensured that their medical expenses are fully covered. This gesture is a testament to his dedication to the welfare of his community and his belief in providing timely assistance to those in need.
Hon. Ukpai's compassionate response to this tragic incident is just one example of his many interventions to improve the lives of his constituents. He recently enrolled in many, members of his constituents on Health Insurance.

His commitment to serving his community is evident in his tireless efforts to address various challenges and ensure the well-being of all.

Hon. Bldr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State as you mark one year in the saddle of authority as the governor.

Your excellency within the space of this period under review, you have proved your preparedness to steer the ship of Ebonyi State, to the greater level through the intelligence and professionalism.

The myriad and achievements you have mad in this one year in office touches all sectors of developments in the state which includes immediate employment of 195 health workers and vehicles to medical doctors, payments of pensions and gratuity, construction of road networks, provision of portable water, agricultural revolution, qualitative educational system among others.

As part of my ongoing mission to empower all the villages of Uburu, I made a promise to myself before I even thought of running for office.

You may remember that I have already fulfilled this promise for some villages before the election.

Now it was Ogwu village's turn, and I was delighted and thankful to be able to provide them with three grinding machines for three widows and a motorcycle for a needy person.

The community was happy with the selection.

I believe that this is just the beginning of more blessings for our people.

Thanksgiving!

Today, with friends, family and well wishers, I made my Thanksgiving to God Almighty at the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Onuogborozhi to thank God for his grace upon me throughout my leadership journey.

I can't count enough of God's abundant grace that saw me through the challenging election process and my eventual winning at the tribunal and appeal court.

I return all the glory to God!

Congratulations to the People's Governor

I am delighted to hear that the Supreme Court today, has affirmed the election of the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonnaya Nwifuru. This is a great achievement for our party the APC and for our people, who have witnessed the transformational leadership and development agenda under our dear Governor.

As the member representing Ohaozara West at the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, I have always admired the vision, integrity and dedication to serving our dear State by our Governor. He has shown exemplary performance as a speaker and as a governor, and I am confident that he will continue to deliver on his promises to the people of Ebonyi State.

I congratulate him once again on this historic moment and wish him all the best in as he delivers on the People's chatter of Needs.

EBONYI STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY SCREENS DEVELOPMENT COORDINATORS

The State House of Assembly has screened and confirmed a total of forty-two(42) Development Centre Coordinator Designates from Ebonyi North and Central in the State. The Members who set aside their vacation to attend to the screening exercise due to the importance attached to the Request of the State Governor HIS Excellency Rt Hon Bldr Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, carried out the exercise at the Legislative Complex Nkaliki Road Abakaliki.

Reporting progress shortly after the screening, the Speaker, State House of Assembly, Chief Moses Ije Odunwa said that the norminees of the of the State Governor Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for the position of Coordinators in different Development Centers of the State were known persons for their hard work and contributions for success of the Party especially during the elections and expressed hope that their input would engender the full actualization of the People's Charter of Needs policy of Governor Francis Nwifuru.

The Motion for the Confirmation of the nominees was moved by the Chief Whip of the House and member representing Edda West State Constituency Hon Prince Nkemka Okoro Onumah and was Seconded by the Member representing Izzi East State Constituency Hon Goodluck Obinna Mbam.

The Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly Rt Hon. Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru puts the screening and confirmation to vote and it was unanimously adopted.

Speaking to News men shortly after screening, some of the Screened and confirmed Coordinators Designates including the Coordinator designate for Ndufu Ikwo Development Centre Dr. Ernest Ejem, that of the Ikwo Central and Echiaba Development Centre Mr. Sinbad Oboke and Prince Friday Oketa said their call to serve at the moment was divine and pledged to work hard to step down the policies and programmes of State Government to the grassroot.

They equally thanked Governor Francis Nwifuru for finding them worthy and Stakeholders of their local government areas for their pivotal roles that saw to their appointment and promised to make them proud.

Others who spoke included the Coordinator designate for Imoha DC in Ezza North LGA Barr Chika Igboke, the Igbeagu DC Coordinator designate Mr. Obinna Nwedu and that of Ishielu North DC Mr. Emeka Odanwu expressed happiness over their appointment, thanked God for their successful screening and confirmation and promised to live to their expectations when sworn-in to office.

The Ebonyi South DC Coordinator Norminees were expected to be screened and possibly confirmed on Thursday, January 11th 2024

Today, in keeping with my annual commitment, I hosted widows in my home.

There were refreshments, wrapper gifts , rice and cash donations made to them that served as my modest alleviating outreach.

The death of any youth is tragic as it robs society and family, the value and future such young soul represented.

I am personally saddened over the circumstances of the death of Brother Eze Igwe Charles.

Eze is someone who has always demonstrated the spirit of community service to Ndị Uburu. He was a member of the neighbourhood watch (Ebubeagu) and has been involved in every Uburu community volunteer activities.

My prayers and support goes to the family and indeed, the entire Uburu Youths. We pray against any form of such death again in our community.

May we all take heart.
