I want to start by simply saying thank you. Thank you to all of those who supported my family and I throughout our campaign. Thank you to my family, friends, and those I worked alongside over these 10 amazing months on the campaign trail.

Next, I would like to congratulate Lafayette City Marshal-Elect Reggie Thomas. I will offer my assistance however I can as he transitions into this position, and help build a strong relationship with his office on matters that involve our agencies. I hope that God blesses you in every step of your journey moving forward.

Although it did not turn out the way we hoped, I am still beyond proud of the race that we ran. I would not trade the experience of getting to meet so many of you. Once again, from the bottom of my family and I’s hearts - thank you.

We are halfway through Election Day for the runoff. I want to remind everyone how important it is to get out and vote. As the next Lafayette City Marshal, I will provide alternatives to incarcerations, establish a text alert system for court date reminders, expand the training opportunities for our deputies, create transparency between the city marshal's office and the community, and, finally, I will protect the families and people of Lafayette as I do my own.

As Chief of Police of Duson, I was successful in restoring the community's trust and confidence in the police department. I am the right candidate to be the next Lafayette City Marshal because of the experience and knowledge that I gained during that time. The city of Lafayette needs a City Marshal who will be capable of accomplishing the same achievement here. So get out and vote, Lafayette, for me - Kip Judice ( #91) - for Lafayette City Marshal.
