UM CESL Program

UM CESL Program The Community ESL (CESL) Program offers weekly classes for family members of international faculty and scholars at the University of Mississippi.

The classes are for beginning- and intermediate-level students who want to improve their English language proficiency and gain cultural knowledge. Each class uses real-world situations to improve speaking, listening, reading, writing, and grammar skills. These classes are FREE of charge, and meet on Monday evenings from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM during the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters and follows th

e university’s academic calendar. We also offer Conversation Corners each week on Wednesday nights from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM during which students may speak freely to instructors in a relaxed atmosphere in order to receive more individualized conversational practice. Childcare is provided on Monday nights at no cost but is not provided on Wednesday nights. For class details and information about registration, please contact us at [email protected].
