Bloom Waterbirth and Wellness Center Bloom is a free-standing birthing center, offering comprehensive prenatal care, labor and delivery, postpartum care, and lactation support. FINALLY!

Our midwives will attend your birth in your home, or at our beautiful water-birth center. Offering free consults A place you can come to have your baby in a peaceful, well appointed birth sweet with large birthing tubs, your own private garden and lots of private outdoor space to be in labor- only 1/2 mile from the hospital in Ukiah- Bloom Waterbirth and Wellness Center. Founders Kristi Cunningham

and Heidi Marshall are both licensed midwives by the Medical Board of California, and have a combined 30 years of experience with water birth. Together with the optional support of one of our local OBGYN's, you will have a comfortable birth suite with a water birthing tub in your room and can labor and /or birth your baby in the tub. For you home birth mama's- don't worry- Heidi and Kristi will still be attending home births in the area, and if you want a water birth at home we have portable tubs we can bring to you!

Let’s talk birth support. We always recommend having midwives and doulas present during the birth because we can offer practical help, and as much emotional support as possible. Think position changes, monitoring, advocating, encouraging. But having someone like a loving partner available just to be there for you is truly irreplaceable. What we want during birth is calm grounded energy and oxytocin flow. There are probably few people who can provide that for you. Our advice: find that person and have them be your rock at your birth. We love you and we support your birth partners to be as involved as possible!

Bloom was originally a homestead property, it has figs trees, grapes, nectarines and apples. The yard provides a sanctuary for birthing families, in the middle of Ukiah. It is special and you can feel that when you walk through the front door. Many families have enjoyed the outdoor space, siblings and grandparents as well, waiting to meet their new babies! We are grateful for the women before us at Full Circle Wellness Center who passed along the building to us and helped make Bloom a reality!
