Tyngsborough, MA Memorial Day Parade | May 26, 2014
The annual Memorial Day parade will commence at 11:00 a.m., from the Old Town Hall, Kendall Road, Monday, May 26, 2014. The parade will follow the traditional parade route, ending at the American Legion Post No. 247, Pawtucket Blvd. A memorial celebration will be held at that time and refreshments served. All town employees, town committees, boards and associations are encouraged to march.At 9:00 a.m., Memorial Day morning, a motorcade will depart from the Old Town Hall, visiting all of the town’s cemeteries, to salute the fallen. This is a very solemn and moving tradition. All are welcome to take part in this motorcade. Town monuments, municipal buildings and Veterans’ graves will be decorated with a new American flag. Also, the parade route will be fully dressed, proudly displaying our country’s flag.Weather is always a factor in planning a parade. If the Memorial Day committee determines the weather is not suitable to march, the ceremonies will be held at the American Legion Post No. 247, Pawtucket Blvd., indoors, 12:00 noon.
