Today, Tiger Creek Animal Sanctuary joins our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We honor the victims, the first responders who ran toward danger, the families whose lives were forever changed, and all those who answered the days that followed with courage, compassion, and service.

Twenty-five years later, we remember not only the tragedy of that day, but also the strength shown by people who came together to help one another in its aftermath.

May we carry forward that spirit of compassion, service, and unity.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Today, we’re celebrating someone who plays such an important role in the health and well-being of the animals who call Tiger Creek home.

Doc works hard to ensure our animals receive the best possible care, always approaching their health and quality of life with compassion, dedication, and attention to detail. We are incredibly grateful to have someone who shares the same passion for our animals that we do and who is committed to helping each of them live the healthiest, most comfortable lives possible.

🇺🇸 Tiger Creek Animal Sanctuary is Closed for Labor Day 🐯

Tiger Creek Animal Sanctuary will be closed to the public today, Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

Our team has worked incredibly hard throughout the long East Texas summer, and we’re grateful for the dedication, compassion, and energy they bring to Tiger Creek every day. Today gives our staff an opportunity to slow down, recharge, and enjoy some well-deserved time with their families.

While we take a break from our normal public operations, the heart of Tiger Creek keeps moving forward, just as it does every day. 🐾

We will return to normal operations on Tuesday, September 8, and will begin returning phone calls, emails, and messages at that time. We appreciate your patience as we work through messages in the order they were received.

💙 International Day of Charity: Every Act of Kindness Makes a Difference 🐾

On International Day of Charity, we celebrate the generosity that makes compassionate care possible.

At Tiger Creek Animal Sanctuary in Tyler, Texas, charitable giving helps us provide lifelong care for rescued animals while supporting wildlife conservation, education, enrichment, veterinary care, nutritious diets, and the daily work that goes into giving every animal the quality of life they deserve.

As a nonprofit animal sanctuary, we rely on people who believe that animals are worth protecting and that conservation begins with compassion. Whether someone gives financially, volunteers their time, shares our mission, attends an event, or simply helps introduce someone new to Tiger Creek, every act of support strengthens the work we can do.

🦁🐯🦴 This Donation Got a Roaring Stamp of Approval!

We are incredibly grateful to Texas Beefhouse for donating bones for our animals. Max and all the cats were big fans of their generous contribution!

For our big cats, bones can be much more than a special treat. Chewing, pulling, tearing, and working with bones encourages natural behaviors while providing valuable physical and mental enrichment. Chewing can also help support dental health by helping remove buildup from the teeth and exercising the jaw muscles.

At Tiger Creek Animal Sanctuary, enrichment is an important part of providing the animals in our care with opportunities to make choices, stay active, and engage in behaviors that come naturally to them.

We especially love when enrichment also creates an opportunity to connect with businesses right here in our community. Partnerships with local companies like Texas Beefhouse allow businesses to put resources to meaningful use while directly supporting the care and well-being of animals at Tiger Creek.

There are so many creative ways businesses and community organizations can make a difference, and we are incredibly thankful to have local partners who believe in our mission. 💛
