I want to thank everyone who supported me, encouraged me, shared my posts, put up a sign, talked to neighbors, or simply believed in what I was trying to do.

This campaign was never about politics for me. It was about giving the people of Twin Falls County a stronger voice, demanding more transparency, and making sure taxpayers have a say in how their money is spent.

I also want to congratulate Suzanne Hawkins on her win. I wish her the best and truly hope she serves the people of this county with transparency, accountability, and respect for every taxpayer.

I knew from the beginning this would be an uphill battle, but I’m proud that I ran a grassroots campaign, paid for it myself, and stayed true to what I believe. I did not take donations, and I turned down offers of money and support because I did not want to owe favors, be controlled by anyone, or have special interests expecting something in return.

I’m not a politician, and I never planned on running for office. I ran because I believed the people of this county deserved more transparency and a stronger voice in local government.

Even though this race did not go the way we hoped, I still believe those conversations mattered.

To everyone who stood beside me, thank you. I will always appreciate it.

Thank you!

Lee

250 years ago today, the Continental Congress called for a National Day of Humiliation, Fasting, and Prayer. In one of the hardest moments in American history, our founders didn't answer uncertainty with arrogance or division they answered it with humility before God, reflection, and resolve.

This call hits especially close to home for me. My family lineage traces back to Colonel Philip Marsteller, a Revolutionary War officer who helped recruit troops for the cause, later served as mayor of Alexandria, and was one of George Washington's pallbearers at his funeral.

That same spirit of service continued through my ancestor John Mostoller, a Civil War hero who earned the Medal of Honor for bravery at Lynchburg, Virginia. I come from a legacy of service to this country, and I still believe deeply in its core original founding principles liberty, humility, and dependence on something greater than ourselves.

As we approach America's 250th birthday, it's worth remembering that this nation was forged not only by courage and sacrifice, but by a people willing to seek wisdom greater than themselves. No matter our politics, we could use a little more humility, gratitude, prayer, and unity today.

May we honor the spirit that carried this country through its founding generation and work to leave a stronger America for the next.

May God be with you and with our country today and for the generations to come, in Jesus' name.

Getting a lot of questions about why I’m not on the upcoming primary ballot!

Yes, I’m still running, and no, it’s not a mistake. I’m running as an independent candidate, and because of that, I go directly to the November ballot rather than through a party primary. That’s why you won’t see my name on the May ballot, but you will see it in November.

Running as an independent means I answer to voters, not a political party.

Thank you for the concern, support, and encouragement. Please get out and vote in the primary election, and then vote again in November.

Thanks again for helping spread the word — I couldn’t do this without you.

Twin Falls County, did you know?

Since at least 2018, Twin Falls County has been paying Jerome County to house inmates because our own jail overcrowding problem was not fixed here at home.

Public records show that in 2020 and again in 2022, Twin Falls County was paying Jerome County $70 per inmate with a guaranteed 25-bed contract.

I do not know the exact rate for 2023, 2024, or 2025. That is exactly why quarterly public reporting matters.

A guaranteed 25-bed contract means the bill does not change.

If we send 25 inmates a month, we pay for 25 beds.

If we send 10 inmates a month, we still pay for 25 beds.

If we send 5 inmates a month, we still pay for 25 beds.

That is the problem.

Jerome County has restrictions on which inmates they will accept. Certain inmates, including violent offenders and higher-risk classifications, do not qualify for transfer.

So how often are taxpayer-paid beds sitting empty?

Taxpayers should not have to file a public records request to find out what we are paying now.

Show us a quarterly breakdown of where the money is going:

Jail housing. Jerome County payments. Courthouse maintenance. Contracts. Overtime. Transportation. Legal costs. Major purchases. Everything.

With a $66 million county budget, taxpayers deserve the receipt.

Vote for Lee Gregoire for Twin Falls County Commissioner if you want quarterly reports published and made accessible to everyone.

I have nothing to hide.
