Residents First – The moms and babies we serve come first and all decisions are guided by what serves them best.

VISION:
Teen moms in foster care become loving, caring mothers and raise happy, healthy children. OUR MISSION:
Believing in the value of every life, Mary’s Path empowers vulnerable teen mothers in foster care and their babies to create lives dignity, hope and self-sufficiency. Why is Mary’s Path Important? We are 1 of only 4 residences in all of California that serve this vulnerable population.

The overarching theme of our residents remains consistent – Family. The connection to the baby equates to a family and unconditional love. Many of our residents have run away from both foster homes and family homes. A very common theme is that our residents have run away for a significant amount of time and turn themselves into the authorities to receive care for themselves and their unborn child. The baby becomes the stabilizing factor.

We are so proud to share that our President and CEO Jill Dominguez has been nominated for the Orange County Business Journal’s 2026 Women in Business Awards. Jill is dedicated to ensuring the teen moms and babies we serve thrive.

Since becoming CEO in 2020, she has led a period of significant growth for Mary’s Path, tripling the organization’s operating budget and expanding its capacity to serve more teen moms and babies with trauma- informed care and long-term support. Under her leadership, Mary’s Path has strengthened strategic partnerships, raised its public profile, and become a leading advocate for pregnant and parenting foster youth.

Mary’s Path is proud to recognize Women’s Equality Day, which commemorates the certification of the 19th Amendment, that legally granted American women the right to vote. We believe strongly in the power of women’s voices, and we’re proud to help our teen moms gain the confidence to speak up on behalf of themselves and their babies.

Mary’s Path provides a wide range of services for our teen moms and babies. One of the best parts of our job is seeing the girls use what we offer to improve their lives. We love changing two lives at a time!

Mary’s Path is a member of the California Alliance of Child and Family Services and for both of us, the nonprofit model is a statement of purpose. We exist because children and families in California’s foster care and child welfare systems deserve high-quality, mission-driven services. August is National Wellness Month, a time to reflect on the habits, relationships, and systems that support physical, mental, and emotional health for individuals and communities.

For the teen moms served by Mary’s Path, wellness is not something that happens automatically. Our girls have experienced trauma, loss, and instability that create real barriers to health and well-being. Building wellness for them and their babies requires stable placements, access to behavioral health care, supportive caregivers, and systems that treat the whole child.

August is National Breastfeeding Month, a cause we actively support at Mary’s Path. We aim to make breastfeeding as easy and as accessible as possible for our teen moms and their babies. That’s why we provide our moms with a lactation consultant and tools like breast pumps. Breastfeeding provides physical benefits for both moms and babies, and also helps in developing trust and emotional bonding.

We’re so excited to be serving our teen moms and babies tomatoes from our very own garden! At Mary’s Path we believe healing comes in many forms, including spending time outside, nurturing our crops, as well as our spirits!

We are so proud of the young woman in this case who bravely spoke up against her s*x trafficker and helped secure his conviction and sentence of 46 years. So many of the girls we serve at Mary’s Path have similar stories, forced into a life of trafficking and abuse by someone they thought they could trust. We will never stop fighting to help these survivors heal and move forward.
