Don’t let the gray hair fool you, these 8 years have been a blast! Thank you for allowing me the privilege to be your Circuit Court Judge. I humbly ask for your support and vote in November to continue in this role of being of service to our community. Thank you to everyone in the First District (Alcorn, Itawamba, Lee, Monroe, Prentiss, Pontotoc, and Tishomingo) for supporting me in the past and future.

A view from the bench: Having plea days here in Pontotoc County(one of my 7 counties) and want to encourage folks to become productive, taxpaying citizens. Far too often I see young men and women who have never worked, never been accountable, and have not contributed to society. Too many of this next generation are a burden, not only to their families, but also to society in general. Do me a favor, before you come in front of me, make some positive changes in your life. Show me you have redeemable value, want to make a positive change. Complete rehab, get a job, get back in church, show some pride in yourself and have a plan for your future. As COL Mims used to always say, “if you don’t know where you’re going, you’re already there.” Judge Kelly Mims

We did it! Re-elected to a second term! Unopposed for Circuit Court Judge. Thank you Alcorn, Itawamba, Lee, Monroe, Pontotoc , Prentiss, and Tishomingo Counties! Thank you so much to all of you for supporting me. I have tried to live up to my promise to treat everyone; attorneys, litigants, defendants, court personnel, officers, bailiffs, and visitors with respect, patience, and honor. I have worked hard, cleared tons of cases off the crowded docket and kept our courtrooms humming. I have sent bad people to prison and showed more than my share of mercy. I ran for Judge in order to help folks in our community, I feel that I have accomplished much of that and look forward to continuing helping others for these next four years. Thank you all, Kelly
