Congratulations to Chasity Gray, director of Professional Learning for Union Public Schools, who has received the High Road Leadership award from the Cooperative Council for Oklahoma School Administration.

The honor was announced during the CCOSA pre-conference general session at the Oklahoma City Convention Center on Wednesday.

“Receiving the High Road Leadership award means (Gray) is one whom other people call or email for guidance while doing the work of federal programs, student accounting, and the other networks,” stated Kathy Dunn, director of Professional Learning, State and Federal Programs for CCOSA.

Gray is one of 14 administrators across the state who have received the honor.

“These are our ‘go-to’ leaders who exhibit the Leadership quality mentioned in our keynote speaker John Maxwell’s book, ‘High Road Leadership: Bringing People Together in a World that Divides’,” Dunn stated. “Maxwell describes a High Road Leader as one who is known for ‘desiring the best for others …. and actually helps them be their best’.’”

Gray, who said she is honored to accept the award, credited her instructional coaches, “as they are the ones who implemented the work.”
