TKO FOOTBALL is dedicated to promoting football to youth and amateur athletes in Tulare and the surrounding areas in order to help produce a more positive football experience for everyone involved. In 2006, the team's name changed to Tulare Knock Out (TKO). Over the years, more and more talented and respected local athletes have joined the call to action. The team was primarily constructed to offe
r friends and ex high school players coached by TKO founder Scott Wagenhalls, an opportunity to play and build TKO Football to a level that nobody has seen from an amateur sports team before in our area. Competing since 2005, Team TKO has built a respected national reputation based on organization, maintenance and acclaim for community involvement. In 2007, tkofootball.com was awarded the MCFFU's first ever "Web Site of the Month". One of the top flag football organizations in the United States, TKO Football has grown into an organization that is predicated on contributing to raise the level of local amateur athletics in our area. As TKO continues to push towards enhancing amateur sports opportunities in our area, we have developed community based programs which deal directly with youth programs and adult athletics. In 2008, with the help of the TYAA (Tulare Youth Athletic Association), TKO Football launched Jr. TKO, a Tulare based traveling youth flag football team that competes annually in the NFL's Youth Flag Football Program. The team is recruited and selected by TKO Football Coaches and Players. 2008 featured a 12-14 year old team, the Jr. In 2010 it was a 9-11 year old team again, the Jr. In 2011, we will offer two teams, the 9-11 Rams and the 12-14 Chargers. TKO Football offers annual Free Youth Football "Fun" Camps to all interested football players between the ages of 5 and 12. The camp, which has both a flag and tackle football emphasis, is a safe and legitimate way for Tulare and surrounding area youth to get involved and be encouraged to participate in youth activities, specifically Football. Participants are taught valuable football skills from some of the top flag football experts in the State, as well as former local standouts. Beginning 2011, we will offer our 1st annual TKO Youth Football Combine and Skills Challenge, where participant's undergo a series of fun NFL style combine drills and challenging skills events.
