Meet Guillermo Bravo, owner of The Green Room, a floral boutique with roots that began in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, in 2018. In 2022, Guillermo brought his vision to Tucson, opening The Green Room and creating a space filled with flowers, creativity, and community.

But The Green Room is more than flowers! The boutique also features unique accessories and gifts from other local businesses, providing space for local entrepreneurs to showcase their products through pop-ups inside the shop.

By creating opportunities for other small businesses while growing his own, Guillermo is helping build a stronger and more connected local business community. 💚

¡Fortaleciendo lazos entre Tucson y Sonora!

Hace unas semanas tuvimos el gusto de recibir en Tucson a una delegación del estado de Sonora, integrada por representantes de las Oficinas de Convenciones y Visitantes de Hermosillo, Guaymas, Navojoa, Nogales, Puerto Peñasco y Caborca, así como de Vamos a Tucson Hermosillo y la Secretaría de Economía y Turismo del Estado de Sonora.

Durante el encuentro conversamos sobre cómo continuar fortaleciendo la conexión entre Tucson y Sonora, compartimos parte del trabajo que se realiza en Tucson para impulsar el desarrollo económico y apoyar a nuestros negocios, y destacamos la importancia de mantener alianzas sólidas que generen oportunidades para ambos lados de nuestra región.

Agradecemos especialmente a Brenda Córdova Búzani, Subsecretaria de Promoción Económica y Turística del Estado de Sonora, y a Felipe García de Visit Tucson por su participación y compromiso con el fortalecimiento de esta colaboración binacional.

Strengthening Ties Between Tucson and Sonora!

A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation from the State of Sonora to Tucson, including representatives from the Convention and Visitors Bureaus of Hermosillo, Guaymas, Navojoa, Nogales, Puerto Peñasco, and Caborca, as well as Vamos a Tucson Hermosillo and the Sonora Secretariat of Economy and Tourism.

During the visit, we discussed ways to continue strengthening the connection between Tucson and Sonora, shared some of the work being done in Tucson to advance economic development and support our local businesses, and highlighted the importance of strong regional partnerships that create opportunities on both sides of the border.

A special thank you to Brenda Buzani, Undersecretary of Economic and Tourism Promotion for the State of Sonora, and Felipe Garcia of Visit Tucson for their participation and continued commitment to strengthening this binational collaboration.

Together, we continue building bridges and creating a stronger, more connected region with greater opportunities for all. 🇺🇸🤝🇲🇽

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting an information session with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors (ROC)! 🏗️

An ROC representative traveled from Phoenix to Tucson to meet with individuals interested in starting their own construction business and obtaining their contractor license. Attendees learned about the licensing process, requirements, and next steps, and had the opportunity to get their questions answered directly.

A special thank you to the Arizona Registrar of Contractors for making the trip to Tucson, sharing your expertise, and taking the time to connect with and support our local aspiring business owners. We truly appreciate your partnership and commitment to helping our community succeed!

A big thank you to the Fred G. Acosta Job Corps Center for inviting us to present to their construction trainees this past Tuesday! 👷‍♀️👷‍♂️

We had the opportunity to connect with 51 trainees in Electrical Wiring, HVAC, and Plumbing and share information on the steps to start a business in the City of Tucson, including important licenses, permits, and resources available to help them turn their skills into future business opportunities.

We look forward to continuing to connect and support aspiring entrepreneurs in our community! 🌟
