Boy Scout Troop 95, Upper Township NJ "We're Going Places!" Meeting are held in the Upper Township Primary School Music Room every Wednesday (that school is open) at 7:00 to 8:30.

In addition, there will be an outdoor activity every month.

After nearly 10 years, Troop 95 is forced to cease operations. Over the past few years, there has been a coordinated effort by the Scouting District and neighboring Scout Units to block our recruiting efforts, as well as broken promises of District sponsored advertising. The resulting lack of young Scouts meant no new members as our oldest kids aged out. It has become impossible to sustain the minimum number of kids, despite having plenty of leadership. As we look back on the reasons why our unit was started, we are lucky that our kids were not subjected to the alternatives. I wonder how the people that were actively working against us can look at their own kids (and their Scouts) and feel good that they have succeeded.
We invite anyone reading this to look back through the timeline, and see all those kids that were involved, and the impact that we have made on their lives.

We are having another Duke of Fluke fishing trip June 2, 2019 from 1:00p-5:00p. Max of 34 people can go, spots are filling up fast. Open to scouts, family, & friends. $25 a person for the scout, $30 non-scout. Cash Only. PLEASE let Mrs. Crowe know ASAP if you're going, and how many people are with your group. SPOTS ARE FILLING UP FAST.

On Saturday, May 18 a scout troop in Haddon Heights is having an Antique Auto Show. Time 9:00 to 2:00.

If anyone is interested in going, let Tom Schroth or Janel Crowe know. Haddon Heights is about an hour and fifteen minutes away on White Horse Pike. We could leave here about 9:00 and be back by 3:00.

The plan is to meet at the Tuckahoe United Methodist Church on Route 49 in Tuckahoe and be on the road by 9am

Opportunity to see some great cars and show support for another scout unit. I expect the cost will be minimal.

This would be fun for all ages, bring a friend.

So, we plan a recruiting event, and the District tries to hijack it. When called out on it, they get the other units to gang up and try to out do us. Funny how there was ZERO district unit promotion (like was promised) all year, and when we get something together everyone else scrambles. Nothing but class~~

Because of the District Fellowship dinner on Thursday, we will hold a joint Troop/Crew MOVIE NIGHT OUT on Wednesday, May 15 at Cannon Masonic Lodge in South Seaville (near the Gem) Meeting will start at 6:30.

We will be showing the movie "AX-L". There will be pizza and snacks. You are invited to bring soft drinks or you may purchase from the lodge. You couldn't ask for a cheaper movie date.

As always, you are welcome to bring a friends or siblings.

Anyone interested in joining the crew should be 14 to 20 years old, or 13.5 years and completed 8th grade.

We will also be discussing summer activities.

We hope to have camp cards if they are available.

Due to the weather forecast for this weekend, we have postponed our ski trip to Sunday, March 24, 2019. In the event of bad weather that day, we will have alternate plans in place.

After school activities at the Upper Township Schools have been canceled for tonight. They recommended that we do not hold our meeting tonight as well. With that being said, we will see everybody Sunday morning

We need a firm commitment by Wednesday for anyone interested in going on the ski trip. Please let us know YES you're going or NO you're not. We can only secure the group pricing if we have 15 people going.

As discussed at last weeks' meeting: ski/snowboarding/snow tubing trip on Sunday February 24th. The price per person is $75. This includes lift ticket, rental and lessons and tubing. Helmet rental is additional $10. This is open to all that want to join. Family, friends, neighbors... firm yes or no by February 10, money due on February 13.. any questions please feel free to ask. More information will be given at tomorrow's meeting.
