Burn Ban will go into effect Monday, June 2nd, 2025

Reminder-The Burn Ban for Zones 1,2, and 3 will go into effect Monday, June 2nd, 2025

Up until that date, The Klickitat County Department of Emergency Management asks that you continue to consider the current Weather Conditions (Winds) and Ground Conditions when deciding when to burn.

Also, if you have not done so already, please sign up for the County’s Emergency Notification System, so that you can receive important information during an Emergency or Disaster

Recently an old box of dynamite was found in the rafters of a shed. It is unknown what is actually in the box, so to be safe we will be leaving it to the experts to open and make a determination what is inside. We have requested Washington State Patrol Bomb Squad to provide their expertise. If you happen to see them coming into town, don’t be alarmed. The Trout Lake Fire department will be on scene to assist with any fire or medical needs. We will update when we know more.

Are you burning 🔥 to keep warm? Don't forget to install a carbon monoxide detector or change its batteries.

TL Fire Dept has a few carbon monoxide detectors to give to those in need, however if you rent your landlord is required to provide one.
