There is a boil water notice for the following addresses along E Michigan Ave: 413, 423, 429, 435, 445, 447, 465, 501, 505, 511, 515, 517, 521, 525, 529, 533, 537, 541, 549, 551, 555, 557, 559, 565.

Today's water main lining work on E Michigan Ave required a temporary shutdown of the water main, which resulted in a complete loss of water pressure.

As a precautionary measure, affected residents are advised to boil water used for drinking and/or cooking until further notice. When boiling water, the water should be heated to a full, roiling boil for at least one minute and allowed to cool. Bottled water may be used as an alternative to boiling.

Please continue to boil your water until further notice. The earliest date that the boil water advisory will be lifted will be mid-afternoon Saturday, April 16. You will be notified when the boil water advisory is lifted.

For all updates on the E Michigan Ave Water Main Lining project, visit the City's website: https://www.cityofsaline.org/departments/public_works/e_michigan_ave_water_main_lining.php

Lunar New Year is the beginning of a calendar year whose months are moon cycles, based on the lunar calendar. It is particularly celebrated in countries within East and Southeast Asia, being influenced by the Chinese lunisolar calendar. An estimated about 1.5 billion people around the world observe Lunar New Year. Typical festivities last for multiple days, sometimes as long as 15 days depending on the culture.
The new year celebration is centered around removing the bad and the old, and welcoming the new and the good. It's a time to worship ancestors, exorcise evil spirits and pray for good harvest. Some lucky foods to eat during this time are dumplings, spring rolls, niangao, sweet rice balls, noodles, fish, and steamed chicken.
What are some of the things you do to celebrate Lunar New Year?
